Last updated 23 October 2026
PrecisionCut is the lapidary workshop and a trading name of Oceania Trading Limited. This policy covers this website and our WhatsApp business number.
Who we are
Oceania Trading Limited, 155 Fanshawe Street, Auckland 1010, New Zealand. Email oceaniatradingltd@gmail.com, phone +64 21 067 7299. We are responsible for the personal information described here.
What we collect
Through this website — what you send us through the intake form: your name, email address, the service and stone type, your description of the work, and any photos of the stone you upload.
Through WhatsApp — when you message our WhatsApp business number (+60 11-1583 9935): your phone number and WhatsApp profile name, the messages you send, any photos, voice notes or documents you share, and the details of your enquiry or order, such as the stones you ask about, quotes, delivery and invoicing details.
Technical information — our sites are hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and secure them. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
To answer your enquiries, prepare quotes, process orders and invoices, arrange delivery, and keep the business records we are required to keep. We do not send you marketing unless you ask for it.
Who processes it
- Meta — WhatsApp messages are sent and received through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, under Meta's terms.
- GemPro — our own business software, where enquiries, quotes, orders and invoices are recorded.
- Service providers — Cloudflare (hosting and data storage), Resend (delivering website form emails) and Google (email). Some of these store data outside New Zealand.
- Where needed for your order — for example a shipping carrier or a gemmological laboratory.
We do not sell your information
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't share it except as described above.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and maintain our relationship with you. Records of transactions, such as orders and invoices, are kept for seven years, as New Zealand tax law requires. Otherwise, we delete information on request.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete it. Email oceaniatradingltd@gmail.com; we respond within 20 working days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
